Tara Prakriya

Tara Prakriya is an Architect for the Microsoft Mobile & Tailored Platforms Division. Tara started at Microsoft working on the MSN Platform in 1997. During her tenure there she oversaw early adoption of the .NET Framework as the Product Unit Manager of the content management platform. She was also a Program Manager on the ad system and the content and user data warehouse. Joining Windows in 2002, she was the Product Unit Manager for Mobile PCs in Vista and then the Product Unit Manger for Tablet PC in Vista. Most recently she has been incubating projects in emerging markets that leverage pen, touch, and ink. Prior to joining Microsoft she worked at Merck & Co’s US Human Health Division IT focusing on financial data warehousing.
